David Halbert Raises over $50,000 Within Six Weeks of Announcing Campaign for City Council At-Large
BOSTON - Today, the David Halbert for Boston City Council At-Large campaign announced raising more than $50,000 since announcing in mid-December. Halbert’s campaign is entering February with $45,000 on hand.
"I am humbled that our grassroots, people-powered campaign has raised over $50,000 in less than two months since I announced." Said Halbert. “I’m running for City Council At-Large to help bring progressive solutions to the critical challenges facing all Boston residents, and that’s why I refuse to take a dime of corporate, fossil fuel, and police union money for our campaign.”
Halbert announced on day one that he is running a people-powered campaign, and is the first At-Large candidate to announce rejecting corporate PAC, fossil fuel, and police union money. If elected, Halbert would be the first Black man directly elected citywide since Bruce Bolling in 1981. Halbert ran for City Council At-Large in 2019, where he was endorsed by the Boston Globe Editorial Board.
