David Halbert Announces over $25,000 Raised for Campaign

BOSTON - Today, progressive activist and public servant David Halbert’s campaign for Boston City Council At-Large announced that it has raised over $25,000 in contributions from grassroots supporters. Halbert announced his campaign last week on Wednesday, December 16th.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the support our campaign has seen so far,” said Halbert. “It’s clear that our vision of greater representation and ambitious public policy makes our city stronger, more progressive, and more inclusive, which speaks to this unique moment in Boston’s history.”

Halbert is running a people-powered campaign, and has committed to not take corporate PAC or police union money in his run for City Council. If elected, Halbert would be the first Black man directly elected citywide since Bruce Bolling in 1981. Halbert ran for City Council At-Large in 2019, where he was endorsed by the Boston Globe Editorial Board.
